Según un informe del Wall Street Journal, el banco de inversión estadounidense, Goldman Sachs, hizo efectiva la semana pasada una compra de bonos emitidos en 2014 por la Compañía Petróleos de Venezuela, por un valor de 2.800 millones de dólares.

In lower income neighborhoods, students can struggle without access to proper educational materials, exposure, and parental poverty. 

The story of education in lower income neighborhoods is an all too familiar one. The struggle to obtain a stable education is a story of overcoming conditions that are less than favorable, much like the swamp plant. What is causing these students, especially Latinos, to fall behind? How can they grow from these meager and impoverished conditions?

La producción de quinoa tiene una larga tradición en el altiplano andino. Entre 2006 y 2013, Perú y Bolivia pudieron beneficiarse del boom de su consumo en Europa y Estados Unidos, pero la masificación de su producción en los años siguientes ha puesto en jaque el frágil equilibrio socioeconómico y medioambiental de una región que aún no ha logrado salir de la pobreza.

 The Human Rights Watch (HRW) organization said in a report Tuesday that since 2014, five times the number of Venezuelans are emigrating to Brazil due to shortages of food and medicine in their own country, an example of how Venezuela"s humanitarian crisis is spilling across its borders.
